3D Modeling Projects

Several courses I took were centered around 3D programs. Here is a collection of a couple projects where I utilized mostly Rhino7 to 3D model.

1) Spinning Top

The 3D Modeling course’s first task was to model a spinning top that would be sent out to be 3D printed. I based my spinning top on the dancing flowers from the Fantasia (1940)-inspired scene of the flowers spinning and dancing on the water.

2) Mid-Century Couch

Final project for my 3D modeling course was to design a piece of furniture and give it real texture and material. I designed a mid-century modern style couch with fun cushion ridges and a pop of color to make it distinct. I created the velvet texture and color and used a texture already available on the Rhino7 program to help with the wood.

3) Mid-Century Couch [Draft]

This was a draft for the mid-century modern couch for the final project in the 3D modeling course. I kept the distinct ridges but changed the couch material and color as an iteration of the final design (above).

4) Bench Model

This was a draft for the mid-century modern couch for the final project in the 3D modeling course. I kept the distinct ridges but changed the couch material and color as an iteration of the final design (above).

5) Chair Models

Exercise on 3D modeling real furniture based on actual measurements and materials. The different models help with learning the finer detailing for 3D modeling using Rhino7, and assigning different wood types to the chairs in order to give them depth.
