In my Graphitecture course, our quarter project focused on modeling and animating a specific building for a climate change-centric VR program. My partner and I used the Cherokee Lofts in Los Angeles and animated its sustainable features to promote eco-friendly architectural practices.

The many different projects on various buildings was featured in SF Design week. The animation can also be accessed through the Artivive app by scanning the static poster.
While the building itself has many internal sustainable features (low-flow toilets, LED lighting, etc.) the poster breaks down the three main external elements: solar panels, green roof, and screens.
Every element was first modeled in Rhino7, then exported to Illustrator to be broken down into separate layers that can be individually animated, and sent to After Effects for animation in several compositions. The final compiled version was put through Media Encoder to then to Artivive to add the virtual reality and 3D animation effect when the poster is accessed through the application.
